The West End really is the main area of London in terms of tourists. This is where most of the attractions are, and the majority of tourists that visit London tend to spend their time in this area. It is a wonderful area to be in, because right on your doorstep you have the lovely Covent Garden, the fascinating and bohemian Soho, the riches of Oxford Street, the food of Chinatown, and the theatres of Leicester Square and Piccadilly.

In part this is because it is cheaper and easier for UK tourists to reach the island thanks to the wide availability of low cost returns.  With flights to Lanzarote starting from around €100 from many major UK airports. Once safely landed at Arrecife airport tourists are then transported onto their accommodation. With many visitors selecting self catering places to stay, such as Lanzarote holiday villas and apartments.   Most of which offer very good value for money in relation to similar accommodation on other Spanish holiday islands.  So reflecting the fact that Lanzarote enjoys an all year round season.

Of Lanzarote´s key resorts villas in Playa Blanca are probably the most in-demand type of rental property, especially during the winter months.  As holidaymakers here can enjoy much better weather at that time of the year than can be found on the rest of the island.  Whilst the beaches here are also highly regarded and rank amongst the best in the Canaries.

But tourists also flock to the two other main resorts of Puerto del Carmen and Costa Teguise.  Which also boast some fine stretches of sand as well as plenty of good places to stay.  Puerto del Carmen is just a ten minute drive from the airport, so transfer times are minimal.  And is an ideal spot for anyone seeking budget accommodation as there are plenty of well priced apartment complexes here.  Costa Teguise is a little further away from the airport and is where some of the island’s best hotels can be found.  Such as the five star Gran Melia Salinas and the Beatriz Playa.

Grand Canyon Tours offers a whole plethora of ways to explore and learn more about the canyon.  You can take rafts down the river, fly overhead in a helicopter, or rent ATVs and drive around the canyon in a remarkably up close and personal way.  While I’m not a big fan of ATVs, I think this would be a perfect way to see and experience as much of the area as possible within a short time period.  I like, that you get to be close to the environment this way as well.  It’s sure got to beat the heck out of riding a donkey   Although, horseback would be another pretty cool way to visit the canyon.  I’m not much of a rider though, and I know my wife is not too keen horse back riding.   Plus ATVs appeal more to the speed demon in me.

Kids on the straight and narrow, and troubled teens all need as much love and guidance as we can provide for them.  And, sometimes that means enrolling the help of professionals that deal with their kinds of issues on a daily basis.  For some parents that may seem like a failing on their own part, but they really shouldn’t feel that way.  Life is complicated, and there’s no way any one person can be equipped for all the curves that will come your way.    I had one friend for example, that while looking at some ADD ADHD schools for their 14 year old son was having a hard time coming to grips with the guilt.  The advisers at the school were great in helping the deal with it, and in time they saw that it really was the best long term solution for their son.

You don’t even have to go all the way into space, if that sounds like a bit too much.  How about maybe a little suborbital flight to get a taste of what it was like to be a Russian cosmonaut.   Of course, you don’t really have to leave the earth.  You could just take the training like the cosmonauts used to and see what it feels like.  Either way, it’s definitely not your normal run of the mill vacation.
